Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile monthly bank statements
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage vendor/client communications
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheets) for client reviews
- Assist with quarterly tax preparations and year-end audits
- Implement and improve accounting processes using QuickBooks Online
- Monitor cash flow projections and provide financial insights
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in a professional setting
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent certification (e.g., QuickBooks ProAdvisor)
- Strong attention to detail with error reconciliation skills
- Experience with multi-state tax filing and payroll processing
- Ability to manage confidential financial data with discretion
- Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines in fast-paced environments
