Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individual and corporate clients
- Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with current IRS regulations
- Analyze financial statements and identify tax-saving opportunities
- Collaborate with senior tax professionals on complex tax planning strategies
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation using tax software
- Respond to IRS inquiries and resolve tax-related client issues
- Stay updated on tax law changes and communicate implications to clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of tax preparation experience (internship acceptable)
- CPA or active pursuit preferred
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., Lacerte, ProSystem fx)
