Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review individual and corporate income tax returns (Form 1040, 1120, 1065, 990) with high accuracy.
- Conduct tax research and ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules for audits.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain tax implications and provide strategic advice.
- Manage and organize client records, ensuring data integrity and timely filing.
- Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for process improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation.
- Current CPA, EA, or enrolled in CPA exam process preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation and compliance (public accounting experience preferred).
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., Drake, Lacerte, ProSystem fx) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
