Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth credit analysis of financial statements, tax returns, and business plans for equipment leasing and finance clients.
- Assess borrower risk profiles and recommend appropriate credit structures to minimize exposure and maximize returns.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and presentations for the underwriting committee and executive leadership.
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify early warning signs of financial distress.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal credit policies and regulatory compliance standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and internal sales teams to facilitate deal flow.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; MBA or CFA preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in credit analysis, risk assessment, or financial underwriting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, financial modeling) and ERP systems.
- Experience with equipment finance, leasing, or factoring industry standards is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to diverse audiences.
