Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local individual and corporate tax returns with accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax provision schedules.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding tax status, issues, and compliance requirements.
- Support the tax department during external audits and internal reviews.
- Stay updated on industry trends and legislative changes affecting the tax landscape.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation (Master’s degree preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in public accounting or corporate tax preparation.
- CPA or EA certification is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., ProSystem fx, Lacerte, CCH Axcess) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex tax problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
