Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and corporate tax returns with a focus on accuracy and timely filing.
- Communicate complex tax concepts clearly to clients to ensure they understand their filings.
- Conduct thorough research on tax laws and regulations to ensure full compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax projections for audit purposes.
- Utilize advanced tax software (e.g., Drake, ProSeries, UltraTax) to manage client data efficiently.
- Collaborate with senior tax consultants to develop strategic tax planning solutions.
- Manage a caseload of clients, maintaining high satisfaction scores through exceptional service.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or EA certification is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level associates.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with tax preparation software is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines during tax season.
