Responsibilities
- Prepare and file complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Conduct tax research and provide strategic planning advice to minimize liabilities
- Ensure compliance with evolving tax regulations and reporting requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on client engagements and special projects
- Utilize advanced tax software (ProSystem fx, CCH, Lacerte) for efficient processing
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication
- Participate in continuing education to maintain technical expertise
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 2+ years of tax preparation experience in public accounting or corporate environment
- Deep knowledge of individual, corporate, and partnership taxation
- Proficiency in tax research databases and preparation software
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Active CPA license or actively pursuing certification
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting
