Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individual and business clients
- Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with evolving tax regulations
- Collaborate with senior advisors to develop tax-saving strategies
- Manage client relationships and address tax-related inquiries
- Utilize tax software (e.g., Lacerte, ProSystem fx) for efficient processing
- Perform tax planning and forecasting for diverse client portfolios
- Assist in IRS audits and tax controversy resolution
- Stay updated on tax law changes and implement best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 2+ years of tax preparation experience in public accounting
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and client relationship abilities
- Nebraska CPA license or eligibility to obtain within 6 months
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Experience with S-Corp, partnership, and trust taxation
