Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 200+ employees using ADP and SAP systems
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations (CA labor laws, FLSA)
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and tax filings (Form 941, DE 9)
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries within 24 hours
- Reconcile payroll accounts and maintain accurate payroll records
- Collaborate with HR on benefits administration and time-off tracking
- Implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience with ADP/SAP systems
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) preferred
- Deep knowledge of California payroll regulations and tax requirements
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and macros
- Proven problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive data
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
