Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individual and corporate clients
- Conduct tax research and planning strategies to optimize client outcomes
- Manage IRS/state tax authority audits and compliance inquiries
- Develop client presentations on tax-saving opportunities and legislative changes
- Mentor junior associates on tax preparation best practices
- Collaborate with audit and advisory teams on integrated client solutions
- Utilize tax software (ProSystem fx, CCH, Lacerte) for efficient workflow
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 4+ years of public tax accounting experience with Big 4 or regional firm
- Deep expertise in individual, corporate, and partnership taxation
- Strong research skills with authoritative tax sources (e.g., CCH, RIA)
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills for client relationship management
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Active CPA license required
