Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial reports are accurate and submitted on time.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and support external auditors during the audit process.
- Monitor budgets and provide variance analysis to management to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including processing invoices and collections.
- Assist in the implementation of new accounting software and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
