Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including AP/AR, GL reconciliation, and month-end closes
- Prepare complex financial statements and compliance reports adhering to GAAP standards
- Lead budgeting processes and variance analysis for multi-location operations
- Implement process improvements using ERP systems (NetSuite/Sage experience preferred)
- Coordinate external audits and tax filings with minimal supervision
- Mentor junior staff through virtual collaboration tools
- Develop KPI dashboards for executive financial decision support
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance with CPA license (or actively pursuing)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in ERP systems and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Proven remote work capability with self-directed project management
- Strong analytical skills with forensic attention to detail
- Excellent written communication for virtual stakeholder interactions
- Colorado residency required for state compliance purposes
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance preferred
