Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end closes and reconciliations
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable business insights
- Prepare and submit accurate financial statements and regulatory compliance reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize budget forecasting processes
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls for financial operations
- Lead accounts payable/receivable workflows and vendor management
- Support audits and ensure adherence to GAAP and SOX compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with remote work exposure
- CPA certification or active pursuit strongly preferred
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (Sage 100 a plus)
- Proven ability to manage complex financial reporting independently
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for remote stakeholder collaboration
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and Jacksonville-specific regulations
