Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for 150+ clients using ADP Workforce Now
- Calculate and garnish wage deductions, tax withholdings, and voluntary deductions
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies in real-time
- Generate quarterly tax filings and year-end W-2s
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labor regulations
- Train new hires on payroll systems and procedures
- Collaborate with HR on benefits administration and employee inquiries
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience with multi-state clients
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or actively pursuing certification
- Deep knowledge of CA labor laws and federal tax regulations
- Experience with garnishment calculations and compliance reporting
- Strong attention to detail with 0.1% error tolerance
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
