Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 150+ employees across multiple states using ADP Workforce Now
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and tax filings while maintaining strict compliance with federal/state regulations
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies with precision
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries within 24 hours with clear, empathetic communication
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams on payroll system upgrades and process improvements
- Prepare year-end tax forms (W-2, 1099) and support external audits
- Implement new client payroll setups and provide ongoing support
Qualifications
- 3+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience with ADP or similar systems
- Proficiency in Excel with advanced formula knowledge (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Familiarity with MO state tax codes and FLSA compliance requirements
- Proven track record of zero-error payroll processing in high-volume environments
- Associate's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent professional certification (CPP preferred)
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience resolving payroll discrepancies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
