Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly multi-state payroll for 200+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations (OR, WA, CA)
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and 401(k) contributions with 100% accuracy
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare quarterly tax filings
- Respond to payroll inquiries within 24 hours with clear, empathetic communication
- Collaborate with HR on new hire onboarding and terminations
- Audit payroll reports monthly to identify discrepancies
Qualifications
- 3+ years payroll processing experience with multi-state operations
- ADP certification or equivalent HRIS expertise
- Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and QuickBooks
- Deep understanding of FLSA, ORBOLI, and CA labor laws
- Proven track record of zero-error payroll cycles
- BS in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
- Ability to handle sensitive data with absolute confidentiality
