Responsibilities
- Oversee the night shift financial close process, ensuring all entries are recorded accurately and on time.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts with a high degree of precision.
- Process and verify high-volume accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, variance analysis, and trial balances.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and audit schedules.
- Maintain accurate digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
- Collaborate with day-shift management to resolve discrepancies and ensure seamless operational handovers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a night shift or high-volume processing environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite).
- Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and maintain absolute confidentiality with sensitive financial data.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
