Responsibilities
- Manage complex general ledger operations and month-end closing processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Lead internal audits and implement process improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll reconciliation
- Develop financial models for strategic decision-making
- Ensure regulatory compliance with federal/state tax requirements
- Mentor junior accounting staff on best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience
- Expertise in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and advanced Excel
- Proven track record in financial reporting and auditing
- Tax preparation and compliance knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Experience in public accounting or corporate finance
