Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 99% accuracy across multiple payers
- Reconcile accounts receivable reports and resolve payment discrepancies
- Communicate with insurance providers to resolve claim denials and appeals
- Generate monthly billing reports for executive review
- Train staff on billing system updates and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure charge capture completeness
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and audit trails
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a hospital or clinic setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential preferred
- Expertise in Epic, Cerner, or NextGen billing systems
- Advanced knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and SQL
- Excellent verbal communication skills for payer negotiations
- Proven ability to meet 95+% first-pass claim submission rate
