Responsibilities
- Analyze complex financial statements, cash flow projections, and credit reports to assess borrower risk profiles.
- Develop and maintain credit scoring models and risk assessment frameworks to optimize portfolio performance.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and presentations for the Credit Committee, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Monitor and review existing loan portfolios to identify early warning signs of financial distress.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with underwriting and collections teams to resolve complex credit issues.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes impacting the lending landscape.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in credit analysis, commercial lending, or risk management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis functions.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial ratios, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
- Certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, CAMS) is a significant plus.
