Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow projections to assess borrower creditworthiness and risk profiles.
- Prepare comprehensive credit memos and risk assessments for presentation to loan committees.
- Monitor existing loan portfolios to identify early warning signs of financial distress or non-compliance.
- Conduct regular reviews of credit limits and exposure levels to ensure alignment with company policies.
- Utilize financial modeling techniques to forecast future performance based on historical data.
- Collaborate with the underwriting team to structure deals that balance risk and return.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or commercial lending.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Fiserv, Encompass) and advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of banking regulations, compliance standards, and fair lending practices.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting findings to senior management.
