Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and market trends to assess borrower risk profiles
- Prepare comprehensive credit recommendations for commercial and industrial loans
- Monitor existing portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal credit solutions
- Stay current on regulatory compliance (FIRREA, BSA, etc.) and implement best practices
- Develop automated risk assessment models using Excel and SQL
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
- Credit certification (CRCM, CMB) or equivalent industry credentials
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement analysis
- Experience with credit scoring systems and loan origination software
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
