Responsibilities
- Analyze complex financial statements, cash flows, and industry trends to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare comprehensive credit reports and risk assessments for commercial loan portfolios
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal credit facilities and covenants
- Monitor existing accounts and identify early warning signs of potential credit deterioration
- Develop and maintain credit scoring models aligned with regulatory requirements
- Present credit recommendations to senior management with clear risk-benefit analysis
- Stay current on economic indicators affecting regional credit markets
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Advanced proficiency in Excel modeling and financial statement analysis
- Strong understanding of SEC regulations and GAAP standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder presentations
- Professional certification (CFA, CRCM, or CMB) highly desirable
- Proven track record of managing loan portfolios with minimal delinquency
