Responsibilities
- Analyze complex commercial loan applications to assess creditworthiness and recommend approval terms
- Prepare detailed credit reports and financial spreadsheets for portfolio review committees
- Monitor existing loan portfolios for compliance and early risk identification
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal financing solutions
- Stay current on industry regulations and market trends affecting credit decisions
- Maintain meticulous documentation and compliance with internal policies
- Present credit recommendations to senior leadership with clear rationale
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business-related field (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and credit software
- Strong understanding of GAAP, risk assessment frameworks, and lending regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to interpret complex financial statements and cash flow projections
- Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to diverse stakeholders
- Professional certification (CRCM, CMB, or equivalent) preferred
