Responsibilities
- Process and verify insurance claims for 500+ daily patient encounters
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies with insurance providers and patients
- Manage AR aging reports and implement collection strategies
- Train staff on new billing software and compliance updates
- Generate monthly financial reports for department leadership
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure charge accuracy
- Conduct quarterly audits of billing documentation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in multi-specialty practice
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expertise in Epic EMR and Medisoft billing systems
- Strong knowledge of NY Medicaid/Medicare regulations
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot table proficiency
- Exceptional communication skills for patient dispute resolution
- Experience with revenue cycle analytics tools
