Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile complex insurance claims with 99.5% accuracy
- Manage accounts receivable ledger and aging reports
- Resolve billing discrepancies through direct insurer communication
- Implement CPT/ICD-10 coding updates for compliance
- Train junior staff on billing protocols and software
- Analyze denial trends to recommend process improvements
- Prepare monthly revenue cycle performance metrics
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with commercial insurers
- Expertise in Epic or NextGen EMR systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential required
- Advanced knowledge of HIPAA and ACA regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and billing analytics tools
- Experience managing high-volume denial appeals
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
