Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 99% accuracy across multiple payers
- Resolve billing discrepancies through meticulous account reconciliation and documentation
- Communicate effectively with patients and insurance providers regarding payment plans and coverage
- Utilize Epic EHR and Medisoft systems for charge entry and payment posting
- Conduct monthly audits to ensure compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Generate financial reports and KPIs for departmental leadership
- Train staff on billing processes and system updates
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Proficiency in medical coding (ICD-10, CPT) and claim scrubbing tools
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field required
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Advanced knowledge of HIPAA compliance and revenue cycle management
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage high-volume accounts in fast-paced environment
