Responsibilities
- Analyze commercial and personal credit applications using financial statements, cash flow projections, and market trends
- Prepare detailed credit risk assessments and recommend loan structures with clear risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with portfolio managers to monitor existing loans and identify early warning signals
- Develop sophisticated financial models for stress testing and scenario analysis
- Present credit recommendations to senior leadership with data-driven insights
- Stay current on regulatory changes (FCRA, ECOA) and compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA/CFA preferred)
- 5+ years of credit analysis experience with commercial lending focus
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling (Excel, Bloomberg Terminal)
- Deep understanding of credit risk frameworks and underwriting standards
- Experience with CRE or SBA lending in California markets
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
