Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements monthly to ensure data integrity.
- Process weekly payroll for all employees with high attention to detail.
- Prepare and maintain the general ledger and monthly financial reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures and audits.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Respond to client inquiries regarding account balances and outstanding invoices.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, payroll processing, or a related role.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and formulas).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax preparation principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
