Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll systems
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for executive review
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry-specific tax regulations
- Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies within 24 hours
- Lead month-end closing processes with zero tolerance for errors
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks Online for 15+ client portfolios
- Collaborate with CPA firms during audit preparations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in a professional services environment
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- Proven track record of managing multi-client accounting systems
- Expert knowledge of Tennessee tax regulations and sales filing
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with 100% accuracy in reconciliations
