Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheets) with variance analysis
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and month-end closing procedures
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations (Sales/Use, Payroll)
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks Enterprise preferred)
- Support annual audits and tax preparation processes
- Develop financial reports for management decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience (5+ years)
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise and MS Excel (Advanced functions)
- Proven experience with multi-state payroll processing and tax filings
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- CPA or QuickBooks certification preferred
- Experience with construction or professional services accounting
- Ability to meet urgent deadlines in fast-paced environment
