Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and general ledger summaries.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, adhering to GAAP accounting standards.
- Process payroll for multiple clients, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage) to manage financial data and generate invoices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) is required.
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot errors in complex data sets.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
