In this position, you will serve as the backbone of our evening financial operations. You will manage critical accounting tasks that require precision and attention to detail, providing a steady hand during off-hours operations. Responsibilities
- Account Management: Process and reconcile high-volume accounts payable and receivable transactions with a focus on accuracy and timely completion.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure all discrepancies are resolved immediately.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries and adjusting entries for month-end close.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, variance analyses, and operational summaries for executive review.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial records comply with internal controls and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Payroll Support: Assist with the night shift payroll processing and expense reporting verification.
- System Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and data entry into accounting software (QuickBooks/NetSuite).
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions required).
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (3rd shift) on a full-time basis.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Communication: Ability to communicate complex financial data clearly to team members and management.
