Responsibilities
- Assist with Day-to-Day Bookkeeping: Perform data entry for daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Bank Reconciliation: Compare bank statements to internal records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process invoices from vendors in a timely manner.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare basic financial reports and assist in the preparation of monthly and annual closings.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain organized and up-to-date digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
- Compliance Support: Ensure all bookkeeping practices adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- No Experience Required: We are looking for candidates eager to learn, even if you have no prior professional bookkeeping experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel. Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks) is a strong plus.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot errors and ensure high accuracy in all numerical data.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with the team.
- Integrity: High level of professionalism and ethical standards in handling sensitive financial information.
