Responsibilities
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple clients.
- Transactions: Process daily accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently.
- Reconciliation: Perform bank statement reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Reporting: Assist in preparing basic financial reports and summaries.
- Organization: File and organize physical and digital financial documents.
- Assistance: Support the senior accounting team with month-end close procedures.
- Inquiry Resolution: Handle basic client inquiries regarding invoices and account status.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Experience: No prior bookkeeping experience is required – we provide the training.
- Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (functions like VLOOKUP, SUMIF are a bonus).
- Software: Willingness to learn industry-standard accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Availability: Ability to work full-time with occasional overtime during month-end close.
