Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of VAT returns and other statutory filings to HMRC.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end audits and financial reporting.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and ledgers.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role (minimum 3 years).
- Relevant accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) is highly desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of UK tax legislation, VAT rules, and payroll.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
