Responsibilities
- Financial Reconciliation: Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Account Management: Manage and process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, profit & loss reports, and balance sheets for management review.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize QuickBooks Online and Excel to manage large datasets and automate financial workflows.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal, state, and local tax regulations and GAAP standards.
- Payroll Support: Assist with month-end payroll processing and tax form preparation (W-2s/1099s).
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP, payroll tax regulations, and financial reporting.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Communication: Ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders effectively.
