In this role, you will support senior staff in preparing tax returns, managing client relationships, and ensuring compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file individual and small business tax returns under supervision.
- Interview clients to collect necessary financial documents and information.
- Enter and verify data into tax preparation software with high accuracy.
- Research and resolve tax discrepancies or client inquiries.
- Collaborate with team members to meet seasonal filing deadlines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required (Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is a plus).
- Strong basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment during peak tax seasons.
