Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Process and oversee high-volume accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash flow forecasting.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings in collaboration with external auditors.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Utilize financial software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to generate ad-hoc reports for management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online/Pro, Xero, or Sage 50) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in financial data.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation is a plus.
