Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle payroll processing for over 100 employees on a bi-weekly basis using ADP Workforce Now.
  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, taxes, garnishments, and deductions in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Prepare and review monthly payroll reports, tax filings (940, 941, W-2s, 1099s), and reconciliation statements.
  • Administer employee benefits administration, including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, timekeeping errors, and employee inquiries with a high level of confidentiality.
  • Maintain accurate personnel files and ensure all payroll documentation is up to date and organized.
  • Collaborate with the HR department to interpret policies and provide guidance on payroll-related matters.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Thorough knowledge of California labor laws, FLSA regulations, and payroll tax requirements.
  • Proficient in payroll software (ADP, Paylocity, or Ceridian) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect errors and resolve complex payroll issues.
