Apex Accounting Partners is currently seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our full-time team in San Jose, CA. Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and on time.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and post monthly financial reports, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets.
- Process payroll for employees, ensuring all tax filings and deductions are calculated correctly.
- Maintain the general ledger and assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Assist with year-end audit preparations and tax filing support.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts and ensure accurate intercompany billing.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably within the technology or accounting sector.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Xero is required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in financial data.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) is a plus.
