Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all transactions.
- Perform monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure data integrity.
- Prepare and post journal entries, adjusting entries, and accruals in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including Balance Sheets and Profit & Loss reports.
- Process payroll and manage employee expense reports using our preferred financial software.
- Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation requirements.
- Proactively identify discrepancies and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in bookkeeping or general accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online or Xero is required; experience with NetSuite or Sage is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and MS Office Suite.
- Familiarity with GAAP and IRS regulations regarding deductions and tax filings.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in complex data sets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
