Responsibilities

  • Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all transactions.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure data integrity.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, adjusting entries, and accruals in compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including Balance Sheets and Profit & Loss reports.
  • Process payroll and manage employee expense reports using our preferred financial software.
  • Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation requirements.
  • Proactively identify discrepancies and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in bookkeeping or general accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online or Xero is required; experience with NetSuite or Sage is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and MS Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with GAAP and IRS regulations regarding deductions and tax filings.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in complex data sets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
