Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with high accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly tax filings and year-end audits.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding items.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and assist in budget preparation.
- Communicate with clients and vendors to resolve billing and payment issues.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role (2+ years preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
