Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions monthly.
- Process invoices, payments, and expense claims accurately and on time.
- Prepare and post journal entries for monthly and year-end financial reporting.
- Assist with VAT returns and ensuring compliance with UK tax regulations.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset registers and manage payroll processing.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or part-qualified (AAT Level 4) accountant.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounts preparation.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage preferred).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
