Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Xero and QuickBooks
- Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheets, and profit/loss statements
- Handle VAT returns, payroll processing, and HMRC compliance
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and supplier invoices
- Assist with quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements
- Support audits and tax preparation processes
- Implement and improve bookkeeping workflows for efficiency
Qualifications
- Proven experience in full-cycle bookkeeping (3+ years)
- Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel
- AAT Level 3 or equivalent accounting qualification
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with multi-currency transactions preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
