Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping duties, including sales and purchase ledgers.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and year-end accounts to HMRC.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Process and verify invoices, expenses, and employee expenses claims.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset registers and stock valuation records.
- Collaborate with external auditors and accountants during audits.
Qualifications
- Professional qualification (AAT Level 4, ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) is essential.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounts role.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks).
- Strong working knowledge of Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP) is required.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies immediately.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
