Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 diverse business clients using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial statements with GAAP compliance
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts monthly
- Process payroll, sales tax filings, and accounts receivable/payable cycles
- Implement and maintain internal controls for financial data integrity
- Collaborate with tax preparers for accurate 1099 and W-2 processing
- Generate customized financial reports and KPI dashboards for client decision-making
- Train junior bookkeepers on new accounting software and compliance updates
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification required
- Proven track record of managing multi-client portfolios
- Deep knowledge of Indiana sales tax regulations and payroll compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail with 0% reconciliation error rate
- Strong analytical skills for variance analysis and financial trend identification
