Responsibilities
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and spreadsheets.
- Invoice Processing: Receive, verify, and process accounts payable and receivable invoices in a timely manner.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure discrepancies are identified and resolved immediately.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as required by management.
- Data Entry: Enter financial data into accounting software (QuickBooks/NetSuite) with a high degree of accuracy.
- General Office Support: Assist with filing, organizing physical and digital documents, and supporting the Finance Manager with ad-hoc projects.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Integrity: Strong ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
