Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local individual and corporate income tax returns with high accuracy.
- Conduct in-depth research on complex tax codes and regulations to ensure full compliance.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather required documentation and explain tax findings clearly.
- Utilize advanced tax preparation software (e.g., Lacerte, Drake, or UltraTax CS) to process returns efficiently.
- Assist senior management in tax planning and forecasting strategies.
- Maintain up-to-date client records and organize tax files for audit readiness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 2-5 years of experience in public accounting or tax preparation is preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client interactions.
