Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and reconcile bank accounts monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll systems
- Prepare financial statements and monthly performance reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Implement and improve accounting workflows for efficiency
- Collaborate with tax professionals during audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience in a professional setting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP and payroll processing
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- CPA or QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification preferred
- Excellent communication and client management abilities
